Shannon Binkley is a grade three teacher in Oakville, Ontario.  She was diagnosed with anorexia at 24 and was in the hospital/treatment at Credit Valley for 6 months.  She spent two months on the cardiac floor with a feeding tube and 4 months in the program (2 months living on the program ward and 2 months at home but there during the day).  Today, she still struggles with depression, body image and body dysmorphic disorder. She is very regimented with food and schedule and so struggles mentally with eating off of that.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her partner Tim, her family and friends, going to Chapters (best combination – books and tea!), skating and watching Penguins games.
