Niluka is the founder of Genesis Village of Hope, which provides innovative, permanent, supportive housing to Ontario’s most vulnerable youth.

Niluka is passionate about advocacy and has spent over 20 years working with homeless population groups, those with various mental health issues, indigenous communities and individuals having complex special needs. She has held management positions for large non-profits in various capacities, founding community initiatives, collaborating city networks, and coordinating philanthropic projects in under-resourced communities both locally and globally.  Her passion for people is seen through her one on one interactions with those she journeys with.

Niluka and her husband Mark have also opened up their home to young people who have experienced homelessness and are in need of supportive housing. They have seen many lives changed, renewed and transformed through the healing power of the love of God.

It is her passion not only to care and fight for the improvement of life for those needing help but her commitment to making a difference that’s lasting not only for this generation being served but a generational legacy of love.
