Karen Welch is a child of God. She is celebrating 45 years of marriage to her husband this September.
The mother of two children, a mother in-law, and a loving grandmother to two grandchildren. Born into
a family of five girls which has multiplied to a family of 46.  Family is a very important part of her life.

Her career as a bank employee began as a teller, moving to a head teller, then liability clerk. From there
Karen excelled to become the Bank Manager, before her career was cut short due to illness. Her love of
numbers led her to continue this passion through volunteer roles including the board of the Athens
Medical Centre for 30 years, church and vacation bible school groups. Supporting her children’s love of
sports Karen volunteered with the Athens Figure Skating Club for 25 years. In addition, she volunteered
with the Rideau St. Lawrence Kings Hockey organization for a number of years.

Karen is currently pursuing her passion for Women’s Ministry and volunteers with Ellel Ministries
Canada in Westport, Ontario, an International non-profit ministry dedicated to seeing people healed and
restored through prayer, and the application of Biblical principles.
