A graduate of Calvin University, Andrew Rienstra works as a Church Relations Representative for World Renew, the international development arm of the Christian Reformed Church in North America. Adopted as an infant in Costa Rica by Dutch American Missionaries from the CRCNA, Andrew was eventually brought to Michigan at the age of ten. Andrew is passionate about the exploration of identity, empowerment, and building of community for adopted people living in Michigan. In 2017, Andrew founded the group West Michigan Adopted People. A group that provides a safe and positive community for adult adoptees to discuss their collective journey, mitigate feelings of otherness, and share experiences with peers.
