Flashback Friday & Our Favourite Songs

Well, we went all over the map today with our Friday Flashbacks and Favourite Songs. Figuratively and geographically.

We learned more about Cheryl & her hubby, Jo’s musical talent, a woman that Melinda is taller than (her birth mother) and more about her heart for the orphan, the crazy times Kimberley has with her kids and about my own spontaneous ‘rebellion’ when I got a tattoo.

Flashback Fridays aren’t just for the purpose of showing photos. You can really see, especially in this episode, how this simple thing can give you a glimpse into each of our hearts.

Another thing that gives you a glimpse into who we are –  is our Favourite Songs. We all admit to having more than one favourite song…and I’ll be honest, it was hard to pick one for this task. If you had to pick just one song and one set of lyrics, what would you choose?

We hope these Favourite Songs and Lyrics encourage you today:

Cheryl’s Song: We Dance by Bethel Music

You steady me

Slow and sweet, we sway

Take the lead and I will follow

Finally ready now

To close my eyes and just believe

That You won’t lead me

Where You don’t go

Joanna’s Song: Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus originally by Helen Howarth Lemmel

Turn you eyes upon Jesus,

Look full in His wonderful face;

And the things of earth will grow strangely dim

In the light of His glory and grace.

Melinda’s Song: This is Amazing Love by Phil Wickham

Who brings our chaos back into order

Who makes the orphan a son and daughter

The King of Glory, the King of Glory

Kimberley’s Song: Because He Lives by Gloria & William Gaither

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow

Because He lives, all fear is gone

Because I know He holds the future

And life is worth the living, just because He lives

Abby’s Song: Fight Song by Rachel Platte

Like a small boat

On the ocean

Sending big waves

Into motion

Like how a single word

Can make a heart open

I might only have one match

But I can make an explosion

This is my fight song

Take back my life song

Prove I’m alright song

My power’s turned on

Starting right now I’ll be strong

I’ll play my fight song

And I don’t really care if nobody else believes

‘Cause I’ve still got a lot of fight left in me

Okay…your turn!!! What’s YOUR Favourite Song lyric and WHY?
