Melinda’s career spans over 20 years of broadcast, motivational speaking, and advocacy experience. In her early career, Melinda served as an advocate for social justice issues at World Vision Canada and as a media producer, reporter, and Cultural Correspondent at Canada’s premier Christian journalism weekly TV program, Listen Up TV (now Context with Lorna Dueck). Melinda has been a keynote speaker at conferences, retreats, churches and concerts throughout Canada for close to two decades.
She joined Crossroads Global Media Group in 2006, where she began as a co-host on 100 Huntley Street’s women’s Television show, Full Circle. Melinda specialized in live events and experiential marketing while there, and was a regular event host and speaker for Crossroads and CTS TV (Now Yes TV).
After leaving Crossroads in 2014, Melinda worked at Graf-Martin Communications as their Publicity and Promotions Specialist where she connected with Christian Leaders and Influencers and promoted Faith Films (Risen, Woodlawn, The Young Messiah, The Drop Box, McFarland) across Canada.
In the summer of 2015, Melinda joined the team at Joy 1250 and launched her radio and (a year later) her podcast show, Your Story with Melinda. YSWM encourages listeners to experience personal stories of Faith from those interviewed who live their lives with hope, grace, joy and love. In 2016, Melinda was a Lead Facilitator at Eagles Flight, a global leader in the development and delivery of business relevant, experiential learning programs that achieve specific training objectives and lasting behaviour change. She facilitated training to over 700 key leaders per month, at one of Canada’s largest quick service restaurant chains.
Melinda joined Crossroads in January 2017 to be the Executive Producer and Host of her new web show, See Hear Love.
Melinda’s hope and joy in life is to share her personal story of Faith, Grace and Redemption to women and men around the world! Her desire is that women will be encouraged and courageous to overcome any hardship or difficulty that they may face. Today is not your forever!
Melinda lives in Burlington, Ontario with her husband, Chris – and on the weekends has the privilege of her step-children, Nathan and Sophie, staying over and eating sushi and watching Netflix!
She is passionate about global issues and has a heart for international adoption as she was adopted in the Philippines by a Canadian missionary family when she was only one week old! (Her parents couldn’t resist her cute, little, dimpled smile!)
