’there are three things that remain: faith, hope, and love—yet love surpasses them all. So above all else, let love be the beautiful prize for which you run.’ 1 Corinthians 13:13

It was such a joy to share in this See Hear Love conversation with a group of women who have known the perfect and pure love of our Saviour and yet have each experienced both joy and heartbreak from those they have journeyed with in life. As we shared our life experiences we were all so aware that the only way we can experience true and lasting love is to first have our hearts filled with the perfect love of God. It is from this reservoir of love that we are able to draw on His love which enables us to find peace and joy with others even in the midst of difficult circumstances.

God created each of us with a need for meaningful connection and the longing of every human is to have a place of belonging and being known. However, the pathway toward healthy relationships is often complicated and even painful. If it was easy for people to have happy and loving relationships everybody would have them, and yet this seems to be one of the most challenging and broken parts of the world we live in.

The best news is that there is hope because at Christmas and every day we celebrate a Saviour who came into this world showing us a love that transcends our human limitations. It is in the soil of His love that we plant our hearts, our hopes and our dreams knowing that He is always at work and will perfect everything that concerns us.

“Those who are loved by God, let his love continually pour from you to one another, because God is love.” 1 John 4:7
